7-24-25   THOUGHTS

We consider a three verse prayer this morning.  It’s LIFE in a nutshell.  In simple terms, all that matters in our pursuit of life is here.   Our abounding in love and knowledge and judgment begins the prayer.  The word ABOUND enlivens all of life.  The word APPROVE puts us in the action position.  We approve EXCELLENCE, that we would be SINCERE...REAL!  How long?
Until the END!  Fruit unto the GLORY and PRAISE of God is our goal.  It’s short, sweet and powerful.   I think I’ll put it on my refrigerator for a while.

Php 1:9-11 KJV   And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10  That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; 11  Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

A Prayer:
Father, fill us with the things in this prayer.  May we glorify and praise You in our hearts, minds and actions.  May we stretch toward knowing You more fully, to grow in relationship with You, and to abide in Your presence.    Help our hearts to be pure and our whole being to be real and sincere.  Fill us with abounding fruit for the Kingdom.  Keep the name of Jesus on our lips, Lord.
We love You, O God, in His precious name,   Amen.
